Weekend is Almost Over...Boo Hoo!

This weekend really did go by fast! We were able to get quite a bit done but I still have quite a bit to do.
Hopefully by next weekend, I will be able to post pictures of the final and complete nursery. I have a few things coming in this week that I ordered as well as a picture to be hung by my husband and then all should be complete. As complete as it can be I guess! I have to say it is quite cute!
Friday night we went to view the rest of our maternity pictures. They are soooo good. I don't know how we are gonna choose what to purchase.
I have caught a cold last week. I actually stayed home on Thursday and thought I was getting better on Friday and then by Saturday night I felt lousy again. I just want it to go away. It is making me feel more miserable than I already do.
Friday, I also had my Dr. appt. Everything is looking good. I am measuring about a week and a half ahead. I am now on the every week Dr visits schedule. I was checked and I am not dialated but starting to thin a little bit.
I am hoping to have all the cleaning and organizing done in the house by the end of next weekend just in case she decides to come early. I want to be able to relax and just hang out with Jeremy until she gets here.
Saturday we had our last baby class. We took back some returns and exchanged for some things that we still needed. We also had a graduation party to attend for my step cousin Jack. He graduated from High School. By the time we got home I was wiped out.
Today, Jeremy golfed this morning. I was able to finish some projects I wanted to get done as well as put more things away in the baby's room. I have started washing bottles, snack cups, sippy cups that we got for shower gifts. I am not done yet but will finish this week and have all of that put away.
Jeremy cleaned and organized the garage today. It looks really nice.
It was so incredibly hot we had to turn on our a/c yesterday. Even the dogs did not want to be out too long because they were too hot. With me being so prego, I found plenty to keep me busy inside the house.
Also on my agenda this week is finishing all my shower thank yous! I have plenty to keep me busy this week.
Jeremy's last day with kids at school is this Friday. His first year as Principal went by so fast. Of course he still works during the summer but he has some planned days off since the baby will be coming.
Right now he is watching Lost and I am playing on my computer feeling Baby D have a dance class in my belly! Boy she is wild! I never got into Lost so I don't really care to watch it.
Hope everyone has a great week. Looking forward to next weekend already as it will be a long weekend.

Baby Shower #4

This past Sunday, Jeremy's Mom, my Mother-In-Law, Jan, hosted a baby shower luncheon at her house. Jan is always the Hostess with the Mostess and it was perfect in every way. This was my 4th baby shower. I had one here in our town, one with family & friends, one at work and this one in Jeremy's parents town with his Mom's friends and friends of ours.
We had couples come into town from all over. It was great to see everyone! Saturday night we all got together for dinner and Sunday the girls came over for the shower and the guys had a golf outting. Couples came to town from Chicago, Wisconsin, Iowa and other areas of Illinois. It is so hard to get together with everyone, since most have children and busy schedules so we had planned this a few months in advance so everyone could make travel arrangements.
Jan had a luncheon that was yummy. She also provided muffins and coffee prior to the luncheon.

Here is the table set where we all sat and had lunch. Lunch consisted of chicken salad on croissants, a yummy salad, fruit skewers, chocolate covered strawberries, cupcakes, cookies.

Everyone knows my love of iced sugar cookies. These were soooo yummy and soooo cute with the Lady Bugs on them.

Another love of mine is chocolate covered strawberries!

The yummy cupcakes

Jan made these cute little vases for everyone to take home with them. I think the little vases came from Target. Very cute. They were at each place setting.

My favorite flowers are Gerbera Daisies. This was in the center of the table. I believe the vases here are originally from Ikea.

I also love fruit skewers!

A few of the girls sitting around talking. Michelle, Stef, Tara, and Tiffany.

The party started by opening gifts and having muffins and coffee. Jeremy and I can not believe how generous everyone has been with things for the baby. We have just about everything we need and could not be more thrilled. We received many cute things at this shower. I was wanting Trumpette socks for the baby and had not ordered any yet and we received many different ones at the shower so I was thrilled.

Here I am opening gifts.

One gift that we received was a clothes line full of items for the baby. Mostly clothes with some hair bows and bibs in between. The clothes ranged from size Newborn all the way up to size 4. You can tell by the reaction on my Mom's face that this was a really cool gift idea.

And my face:) I think I was a little overwhelmed by the generosity of this gift. And is that coat not the cutest thing ever! Too bad I have to wait until she is in a size 4 for her to wear it:) But it will give me something to look forward to. (Check out Jeremy's hottness in his tight rolled and stonewashed jeans in the picture behind me....and Darci's mall hair, oh if we could all relive the styles of the early 90's..too funny)

And Jan holding up another area of the clothes line.

I really wish I would have taken more pics of everyone there and also pics of our dinner out Saturday night. It was such a great weekend.
After the shower was over, the girls all went to pick up their children at the grandparents house and brought them back to Jan's house. It was soooo fun seeing everyone's kids. The guys finished up their golf game and came back to the house as well so we all got to see each other one more time before everyone had to head home.
We can't wait for the next time we will be able to get together with everyone.
Thanks so much again Jan for the great shower! It was very much appreciated all your hard work and detail you put into it! I am lucky to have a Mother in Law like you!
***Please note...I am trying to recover pictures from my work baby shower that I have meant to post for a few weeks now. I hope to be able to recover those and post.

Maternity Photos!

Jeremy and I had our maternity photos done on Friday and here is a sneak peek! We have not viewed all of them but were able to view these 4 early. I think they turned out awesome and I can't wait to see the rest.

Stay tuned for photos from our final baby shower this past weekend. I also need to try and retrieve the photos from my work baby shower. They were on a laptop of mine that crashed and I thought maybe they were retrieved but I am not so sure.

Today is my Friday! Yay!

I have my final furlough day tomorrow. I am getting my hair done, we are getting maternity pictures taken and we have a retirement party to attend. I also decided to take Monday off as well. We have a pretty busy weekend ahead and I just felt like a day to do nothing sounded great. I have been so swamped at work that I think it will do me good to take a day off. Plus, I have not taken any time off other than my furlough days.
Saturday we will head to Pekin to Jeremy's parents house. We will see a bunch of friends Saturday night at dinner and Sunday morning his Mom is hosting a Baby Shower at her house for all the Ladies and the Guys are all playing golf. We can't wait to see everyone.
I am looking forward to this weekend!
After this weekend, our remaining weekends until the baby is born do not really involve too much. I purposely did not plan much knowing I would be tired and wanting to stay close to home. We do have graduation parties and a wedding but other than that, that is all we have planned.
I plan to work on the final stages of getting the baby's room ready and things prepped for her arrival. We are getting more and more anxious and excited.
If I go full term, only 6-7 more weeks left. At my last appointment, my Dr. said I could go anytime after 37 weeks. I just really do not want to go over 40 weeks because I am too anxious and can not wait that long!
I can't believe how much she moves around and gets herself in what feels to me like awkward positions:) Sometimes I think a foot, knee, arm may pop out of my belly!
I hope to post many pictures soon. Since I have received my new computer from Jeremy for Mother's Day, I have not uploaded any pictures to it. I know I need to post pics of my Baby Shower here at work, the Baby's room (was kind of holding off on a few items that are on order), and I will have pictures from this weekend as well.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there. A very special Happy Mother's Day to my Mom Cathy and Jeremy's Mom Jan! We love you both.
This Mother's Day was special because we will be welcoming our little girl next month. Jeremy got me a new laptop for Mother's Day since mine crashed. We went out for breakfast this morning. Next Mother's Day will be even better. We will have our precious little girl to celebrate with.
We did not see either of our Mom's today. I saw my Mom yesterday and we will be seeing Jeremy's Mom next weekend. It was a nice relaxing weekend. We had my cousin Jessica's baby shower yesterday. She is due 10 days before me with a little girl named Kenley. Today we just did some things around the house, Jeremy was able to golf and fish.
Today, Jeremy and I were featured in the Champaign-Urbana and surrounding communities News-Gazette. We were contacted to interview for an article about infertility. The intent of the article was a feel good Mother's Day article for people who have been through fertility issues or ones that are experiencing fertility issues. There were 3 couples featured. We discussed if we even wanted to do the article since it is such a private topic to many people but we thought it would be good to do to help others who may be experiencing what we experienced in trying to get pregnant. The photographer came to the house and took our picture in the nursery. So hopefully the people that were able to read the article enjoyed reading it. We have received many compliments on it.
I had a Dr. appt this past Friday and everything is still looking great. I think the baby is going through a growth spurt as I have been really tired this past week. I know part of it comes along with the third trimester. Plus I was very busy at work. My next appt is Friday the 21st.
I have began putting things in a hospital bag so I am ready to go when the time comes.
I am really sad the weekend is almost over. It went by way too fast. Luckily I have a short week this week, since I have my last Furlough Day on Friday. We will be getting our maternity pictures taken. Looking forward to it.

Great Weekend!

We have had a great weekend. Let me first say my laptop has crashed on me so I still have to post about my work baby shower. I am using Jeremy's laptop right now until I put pictures on our desktop computer. Luckily we were able to save all my pictures that I put on my laptop. But, I will have to get a new one. When it rains it pours, our printer broke, my laptop, Jeremy's lawn-mower...good grief!
This weekend was great! Saturday my Mom came over and we worked in the baby's room all day. I mean all day! We got clothes washed and put away and the room organized. The bedding came on Friday so we were able to get that put on the crib and it looks ADORABLE! I promise to take pics and post soon. I still have a few things to do in there...
My goodness this little girl has a lot of clothes. It was a relief to get it all organized. I am so thankful my Mom came to help. It was a job. We were both sore from sitting on the floor all day taking tags off of things...man, they put a lot of tags on kids clothes...and then folding the clean laundry. I fell asleep on the couch last night at 8 and slept until 8:30 this morning.
Jeremy was able to attend an Urbana boys baseball game. He also baked a turkey so we had turkey sandwiches for lunch yesterday. He was also able to get some fishing in at the little ponds at the golf course.
Today, I did more work in the baby's room and Jeremy put together the pack n play, swing, highchair and umbrella stroller, I wanted to make sure we put things together in case things were missing parts, etc, we could take back if need be. He also managed to get in 9 holes of golf and we had some visitors today. My friend Erin, her husband Mike and their boys Garrett and Tanner stopped by. They were in town for a Confirmation/8th grade graduation.
It was a great weekend and I feel like we got so much accomplished. Our next few weekends will be busy.
This week will be busy. I am prepared for a busy work week. Jeremy's is getting interviewed by the news in the morning about the award the middle school achieved this year. We are also being interviewed tomorrow night by The News-Gazette for a feature Mother's Day article. We were contacted by Carle Clinic to do a feel good article for Mother's Day since we are expecting our first child in June. We have another baby class on Thursday night! My cousin has her baby shower on Saturday. And Sunday is Mother's Day!
Can't believe only 8 more weeks to go or less until we meet our little girl!!!!!
