Mom's Night Out, Etc.

This weekend I enjoyed a night out with friends. We had a great time. We all stayed in a hotel that night. We went to get pedicures first. Made a trip to Target. I am pretty sure we all bought flip flops, hung out at our hotel room, went to dinner and a few girls did a little dancing that night!
Our friend Amy had a birthday this week. Amy enjoys having her soda every day at work so as an inside joke, another Amy got her this big ol Mega Chill mug! If she drinks that much soda in a day she will be bouncing off the walls. (Side note, there were 3 Amy's in our group Saturday night).

We enjoyed dinner at Guido's in downtown Champaign. We went to Soma afterward.

Our friend Jenn that worked with us moved to Rockford in August because her husband transferred. Jenn was in town visiting this weekend. We also found out that Jenn is expecting their 4th child. Very exciting for their family. Not really planned. Jenn and John have the most beautiful kids, Jaden, Jackson, and Jameson. They have to come up with another J name. I suggested Jonnifer:)

Miss ya Jenn!

So Adlee girl got to have her Daddy all to herself Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Thus the reason for the camo outfit:)

While us girls were at Target Saturday night, one of the Amy's found this cute dress for Adlee. We have a wedding to attend this summer for Jeremy's cousin in Chicago and I thought this dress was adorable! I love how it is a bubble dress and the colors fade together. I will make her a cute hairbow and find some cute shoes and she will be all ready for the wedding!

8 Months Old!

Adlee turned 8 months old on the 18th. I was sick with the flu and then Jeremy got sick this week so we are behind in updating the blog. Knock on wood, Adlee has not got it thus far.

This little girl is such a joy! She is doing something new every day!

Adlee, you are getting to be such a big girl.
We go back to the Dr. in March so we don't know how much you weigh right now.
You are finally sleeping from about 7:30-6 or 6:30 withouth waking. You started rolling over on your own to your tummy and sleep so much better! You also like to sleep on your side.
You are taking better naps during the day and I think that helps.
You still wear mostly 6-9 month clothing. Some items of 12 months fit.
Size 3 diapers and we put an Overnight diaper on at night.
You get a bottle when you wake up. Cereal and fruit for breakfast. A veggie and fruit at lunch. A bottle in the afternoon. Cereal, veggie and fruit for dinner and a bottle before bed.
You are still rolling all over the place. You have not done the official crawl but you get to where you want to go.
You just started giving Mommy open mouth kisses this week.
You also wave to Mommy and Daddy and it is very cute.
You have started clapping.
You started saying Da Da now too. So now that you have learned Da Da you do not say Ma Ma nearly as much! boo!
You love to play with your toys. You play very good by yourself and with your friends at daycare.
I am sure there is so much more to say about you but I could go on and on.
Daddy and Mommy love you very much Adlee girl!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day with our sweet little Adlee!
I had fun making treats for Adlee to take to daycare for the bigger kids and Valentine's for her to take. It was also fun for Adlee to get a few Valentine's from kids at daycare.

I found cookie cutters for $1 a piece online and ordered them a while back. I wanted to use my Cricut and cut out a heart shape.

Each treat bag had a box of jello, so the kids can make jello jigglers out of their jello and heart shape cookie cutter. As well as a fruit snack pack.

I love Adlee's Valentine's jammies that have Be Mine on the bootie area!

Adlee got this pink hippo from her Grandpa Kenny and Grandma Sharon. It had a pink blanket in its mouth but we had already taken it out when I took this picture. She also got a pink leap frog alphabet learning caterpillar from her Grandma Cathy and Grandpa Steve. She got a few other things from them as well...one being her first piece of jewelry...a Ladybug necklace!

I found these chocolate tools when Target first put out their Valentine's stuff. I had to get them for Jeremy from Adlee since he seems to be a "Handy Man" around the house:)

I also put a few scratch off lottery ticket in his card from Adlee.
I got Jeremy a couple of gift cards. I ordered myself a necklace online a while back from Allora Handmade so I told him that could be my Valentine present. He went to the store and got a few things to make me a very nice dinner! It was soooo yummy! We had surf and turf. Ribeye steaks with Salmon. He made mushrooms in a red wine sauce and we had baked potatoes. He also made a Dijonaise sauce for the Salmon, the meal was fabulous!
I had also made muffins for Adlee to take to daycare for the bigger kids. They love getting treats.

Here are a few pics we took before work/daycare on Valentine's Day!

Here are Adlee's Valentine's she got from daycare.

Valentine's night, we gave Adlee a few little things from us. She loves getting presents! I really do not know who she gets that from:)

Adlee got a red and white stuffed (really soft) soccer ball from Ikea, an Elmo book, a little stuffed Monkey and a cover for the bathtub water spout!

We had to change Adlee's clothes for obvious reasons so this was her after all the Valentine's festivities, almost ready for bed!

Superbowl!

See below...I finally posted Adlee's 7 month photos!

Although the Steelers did not win the Superbowl, we still had a great time. We had a mini party with Jeremy's parents and our friends.

Adlee got a Troy Polamalu jersey to wear for the Superbowl. Her Grandma and Grandpa Darnell got it for her. A lady at work made her hat to look like Troy P hair:)

7 Months Old...A little late!

I am finally getting around to posting Adlee's 7 month pics. She was 7 months on Jan 18th and will be 8 months old this coming Friday. I got a new camera that I am still trying to figure out but I did finally figure out how to put the pictures on my computer!

Time is flying by with this little girl! As you can see from the string of pictures below, our monthly photo shoot is getting a little more difficult:)

Good thing we did it one morning before Daddy left for work. We needed his help!
Adlee, you are growing and changing every day. You do something new every day that Mommy & Daddy are so amazed with.
I will do a bigger post for the 8 month photo shoot. Main things for 7 months...
-chowing down on food really well. Not much you don't eat Adlee girl! Just like your Mommy & Daddy.
-rolling all over the place. You are a quick mover. You have been trying to climb the curtains and you especially love the tile around the fire place.
-you haven't started "officially crawling" but you get where you want to go in a matter of seconds. We think you will probably be "officially crawling" or what crawling is supposed to look like soon.
-you are moving from your tummy to a sitting up position. We think it will be a good idea to move your crib down.
-you have said Mama and Uh-oh for sure!
-you finally have 2 teeth!
-you are still a content, very happy little girl. Not much upsets you and you are just a joy to everyone you are around!
Stay tuned next weekend already for the 8 month post!

Blizzard 2011

We have been snowed in the last couple of days! We definitely got dumped on with snow. Schools are all out, mall is closed, banks, churches, pretty much all businesses are closed. Even the University of Illinois closed and THEY NEVER CLOSE!!!

We have been hanging out in the house relaxing and playing with Adlee. Staying in our pajamas, baking. I ordered Adlee's Easter Basket today.

If your a lazy old dog, snow days are good for lounging on the couch:)

And this little baby has been a nervous nelly with the wind blowing. There have been a lot of noises in the house we aren't used to hearing.

We definitely got dumped on. The wind was ferocious!

Jeremy finally got out today and started up the snow blower after the wind died down. He pretty much snow blowed all the neighbors drive ways.

This was when it was calmer. You could not see the golf course and barely could see our fence.

Happy Snow Day!

The neighborhood was starting to go stir crazy, so they all worked together today to get driveways clear.

Neighbor Mike working on the other neighbors driveway.
Today, Jeremy made a veggie soup and I made grilled cheese. I also made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins. Jeremy made a breakfast casserole for breakfast this morning. Not much we can do but eat!
I am hoping I can make the trek to work tomorrow.
