A Few Fun Pictures!

I have a few pictures of Adlee to update on what we have been up to lately. I was having a hard time getting pictures off my phone but hopefully now it is fixed! I take a ton of pictures with my phone as I don't always get my camera out!

A couple of Saturday's ago, the 3 of us headed to Bloomington to get out of the house. We went to Target, met Jeremy's Mom for lunch and had ice cream. I had been sick that week and really wanted to get out of the house. While we were at Target, all Adlee wanted was a pair of purple shoes. Well of course they did not have her size so we headed to Von Maur right next door to see what kind of purple shoes they had. Of course she picked up the $50 pair of Puma's. I was telling the story and the sales lady overheard and said we have the perfect pair of shoes for you on clearance. So she sat down and got her foot measured (rockin her sunglasses by the way) and she got a pair of purple Saucony's. She was one happy girl! There is a picture below of her still rocking her shades at lunch that same day! Apparently she thought she was a rockstar that day! Too funny!

One of her favorite shows to watch right now is Frosty the Snowman. I can't tell you how much we have watched Frosty. Adlee is only 20 months old and her favorite movie line from Frosty is "No Money, No Ticket!" when Frosty tries to purchase a ticket to the North Pole. She was lounging one Saturday on the couch, with her "phone" watching Frosty, like she was 16!

This past Sunday, we attended a Pancake and Sausage breakfast at the Elementary school. The Lions Club hosted it and Adlee sat at the table like a big girl eating her pancakes and sausage with her friend Chloe.

Adlee and I had a girls day on Saturday, which I have pictures from that as well that I will post this week! We had a great day and had so much fun! Of course it involved shopping and lunch!

My Day has been Made!

My day has been made folks! I had a Professor from the Physics department stop by and personally hand me a gift card for a massage for his appreciation of my hard work on his research proposals.
This is huge as often times we are not thanked personally from the faculty because they are so busy trying to keep their head above water with their teaching responsibilites, their research projects and whatever else they may have going on.
I almost wanted to cry. The faculty often times submit $12 million dollar research proposals 3 hours before they are due to the sponsoring agency in which they are requesting money, which makes my job very stressful. You have to rush around to review the proposal, run the budget figures and hope there are no errors in the submission and that it follows the guidelines with limited time to give a thorough review. So with this Professor doing this for me, it really made my day!

And of course Adlee made my day this morning because she wanted to wear the scarf I was wearing. Jeremy said she is a little diva already! She loves to put on my jewelry as well! So sweet!

Adlee's Valentine's for Daycare!

I am a little behind in posting Adlee's Valentine's she shared with the daycare kids. I found an idea similar on Pinterest and used that wording but kind of came up with my own way to assemble it. I thought it was a cute idea and a little healthier than sugary candy.

Valentine's Day!

This Valentine's Day did not go as planned. Jeremy and I both had the day off to take Adlee to an ENT specialist to discuss allergies and tubes. She does not need tubes and we go back the end of March for further allergy testing. After her appointment we had planned to go have lunch and take Adlee to a nearby Children's Museum. I woke up on Valentine's Day and did not feel well at all. I laid in bed all day. Jeremy ended up having to take her to the appointment by himself which the Dr. was an hour late seeing them. After the appointment he went to get them lunch and brought it back to the house. I did not want to get near Adlee as I was not feeling well and had already gotten sick. I am home today from work still not feeling the greatest. Today I have a fever, so I caught a nasty bug someplace.

I had bought a cute Valentine's outfit for Adlee to wear a while back. Daddy was responsbile for capturing some pictures. I had made her a cute hairbow to match her outfit.

Concert with Friends

This past weekend some of my friends and I went to the Jason Aldean/Luke Bryan/Lauren Alaina concert in Champaign. The concert was fabulous and we enjoyed singing and dancing. We had dinner at Houlihan's before and ended up staying the night at a Hotel in Champaign really close the concert. Always a great time but we were pretty tired and our feet hurt after the concert was over!

Silly and Oh So Very Smart!

It has been a while since I have done an update on Adlee Girl! I take a lot of pictures with my phone and for some reason my ability to email pictures from my phone is not working, so I had to take these from Facebook.
This girl is something else! She is changing every day. Not only is she silly and smart but she is also pretty darn sassy! She is growing leaps and bounds and is just AWESOME!
She is showing interest in potty training so we have purchased a couple of seats for the toilet. We aren't pushing it just yet but are just kind of going with the flow and letting her sit on them on weekends.
Adlee is learning her ABC's pretty quickly and can now count to 10 all on her own! I am sure the fact that her Daddy is an educator has nothing to do with her smartness!
She pretty much says anything and everything and repeats everything we say very clearly. So watching what we say is an understatement!
Adlee eats pretty much everything we eat. Unless it is something rather spicey we try to give her the same things we eat so she does not end up a picky eater. Of course, her fav is still pizza! She is just like her Momma! And the girl loves some chocolate. We do not give her much chocolate but will give her a little bit and she asks for it all the time.
Adlee still continues her love of Sesame Street, mostly Elmo. Thus, her 2nd birthday party will be red and turquoise with Elmo included! I have already began the planning as I like to pick up little things here and there.
Adlee is also learning her colors. She likes to watch her color "movie", the Preschool Prep Series DVD set we have for her.
Right now, Adlee also loves Frosty the Snowman. She likes to sing Frosty the Snowman as well as Sunny Days from Sesame Street!
We are trying to keep everyone healthy at our house this winter! It seems like it has been a bad winter for all of us with illness! Adlee has an appointment on the 14th to possibly get tested for Allergies. We will also have a discussion about tubes, however, we aren't dead set on that just yet.

Using Daddy as a jungle jim!

Being silly in her toyroom!

Playing her piano!

This was the evening of class photo shoot day! The Minnie ears match perfectly.

I had a coupon for Loft one weekend so we went shopping and she insisted on carrying the bag. She is gonna be a shopper just like her Mommy and Grandma's. I didn't get a picture of her when she was out of the stroller carrying the bag. She was quite the hit at the mall!

Nothing like wearing your produce basket as a hat!
