Happy 6 Months Adlee!

Adlee turned 6 months old on Saturday! Time is flying by with this little girl. We are enjoying every minute with her!

Adlee, you are up to so much lately!
You like all your food. There is not one food that you will turn your head at. YOu have tried all your fruits and veggies.
We aren't sure on your weight because we can't get in for your appointment until Jan. 3rd. Anxious to see how much you weight as we can tell you are growing and growing.
You are becoming more aware of your surroundings. You like to grab at everything and everything goes in your mouth.
You somehow make your way around the living room by rolling and scooting. You aren't crawling just yet but we think you might try any day!
You love all your toys and are really enjoying playing with everything.
You bounce and bounce in your jumparoo.
You think your Daddy is hilarious. You giggle at him all the time.
You are still such a good baby. Mommy and Daddy are so lucky.
You have not received any teeth yet but we are thinking it could be anytime.
You love daycare and seeing your friends on a daily basis.
You are trying to unwrap a few presents from under the tree.
You really aren't staying very still when Mommy tries to put your clothes on or change your panties.
You are sitting up pretty well. You fall over after a while but you are doing good.
You are such a funny little gal! Mommy and Daddy love you so much and can't get enough of you!

It's The Holiday Season!

We have been busy getting ready for the Holiday Season! I have so many things I need to do tonight, wrap more presents, make more Christmas treats, clean house, fold laundry, but I am exhausted and just want to relax on the couch.
I thought I would post a few pics of Adlee and what she has been up to lately and what our next week will bring.

Here is one of Adlee's 6 month pictures we had taken on Saturday!

Big girl in her high chair!

We did a little Christmas shopping Saturday and had to wait in line for quite a while to see Santa.

Patiently waiting for her turn to see Santa!

Adlee told Santa she wanted a bass boat...haha! Or maybe her Daddy told Santa that for her because he wants one!

The Official Santa picture! It cracks me up how she is resting her arm on Santa's belly.

Our festivities start this weekend. We have a family dinner on Saturday and got invited to another party at friends. Sunday we have Christmas with my Dad and Step Mom and family. Monday Adlee has her first Christmas party at daycare. The kids drew names and I plan on making cupcakes for all the kids. Wednesday we are hosting Jeremy's staff for a little holiday party. So that means this weekend I have to get groceries and get organized!
We are looking forward to celebrating Christmas with my Mom and Steve on the 23rd and Jeremy's parents, John and Jan on the 24th. They will all be here the evening of the 24th and Christmas Day. We plan to attend church on Christmas Eve and we have a yummy menu planned.
We are looking forward to Santa visiting Adlee and just enjoying the Holiday with her.

I have my Holiday party at work tomorrow over lunch. I am on the planning committee and it should be a good time. We have fun activities planned.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around the Darnell residence. I have not left the house since Thursday. Adlee was diagnosed with Crupe last week so Jeremy stayed home with her Thursday. I picked up her prescription on my way home from work Thursday and we decided to keep her home on Friday so I stayed home with her Friday. Needless to say, I haven't left the house. We wanted to make sure her medicine was in her system for a little longer and just thought it would be in her best interest to be away from the other kiddies at daycare for a few days.
I got a lot done around the house during my days. Jeremy deer hunted on Saturday so it was just me and Adlee and the dogs.
This little girl is on the move! You can see from the pictures below that she is everywhere. She is mostly rolling everywhere but scooting as well. She really wants to crawl and probably will be soon. I don't know if I am ready for that or not! She about wore me out this weekend. She seemed to feel fine, didn't have a fever, ate plenty and like normal, took good naps, just her cough did not sound the greatest. By tonight, she is almost done with her prescription and it sounds a lot better.

Baby on the move!

I had to sit her in her chair so I could get something done so my built in babysitter took care of her for me:)

We knew this weekend we were going to get snow...however, the weather people said we would get 1 to 3 inches. Well, on Saturday, it snowed, and snowed and snowed. I am pretty sure we got almost a foot of snow. It was beautiful and good thing we did not have anything planned and another good reason to stay in the house. I wanted to take a few pictures of our first snow of the year! So pretty! It put me even more in the Christmas spirit.

I began putting our Christmas decorations up last weekend. I have always been the type that once I started, I did not stop until I had everything done. Well this year was a different story since we have a little peep that requires our attention. I started last weekend and didn't finish until this weekend.
I took a few pictures of our main tree. We have 2 other trees that I have not taken any pics yet and we also have Adlee's tree...see previous post.
My inspiration this year on my decorating was a cheap little tray I found at Hobby Lobby on Black Friday. I love the red and green along with the leopard print. I thought I would try and incorporate leopard print ribbon on our tree and mantle and I loved how it turned out. Plus I got new wrapping paper this year at Hobby Lobby and I really love it too! I did find the red spikey "things" (not sure what to call them) at Hobby Lobby this year as well! I have been keeping Hobby Lobby in business:)

So excited to have this extra stocking this year:) I got an "A" stocking hanger rather than having her stocking monogrammed.

Of course the doggy stockings have to be up. One is for my little sister Chloe!

The cheapy little tray I was referring to previously. I bought a few extras to put food on for Jeremy's staff party as well.

I have had this little guy for several years and I never get tired of him!
Bet you can't guess who the pink penguin presents are for:)

We took a few pictures today at our house for our Christmas card. Adlee's Christmas dress is precious! I can't wait to see how they turned out. We also have her 6 month pictures next weekend and I have some adorable outfits planned for her.

Adlee's Christmas Tree!

***This is my 4th blog post tonight, trying to catch up on posts so scroll down and read more!***
Here is a sneek peak at Adlee's Christmas tree! It turned out very cute! I need to get more ribbon for it and more green ornaments but it is very cute in her room:)
