Busy work week!

I am currently wiped out from my work week and it is only Wednesday. Today is the end of the federal fiscal year and we are working under heavy deadlines and my head feels it today. I am waiting for Criminal Minds to come on and I will be crashing early! Right now I am enjoying my reclining sofa and relaxing with my hubby and doggies.
I hope to post some pictures in the near future of our fall decor. I was kind of waiting until next week when I go to the Covered Bridge Festival and see if I get any new fall decor. I am looking forward to it.
This weekend we are looking forward to tailgating and going to the football game. I am taking my Mom to brunch on Sunday morning at our favorite brunch spot Jim Gould's. Monday is her birthday and she has never been there. My Grandma and my Aunt are planning on going as well so it should be fun.
For now, have a great week! I am sure I will be posting again near the weekend!

It's Fall Ya'll

***Principal Darnell in a suit!!!***

Jeremy had parent night tonight and I got a picture of him in his suit! Of course Lucie thought her Daddy looked rather handsome in his suit she had to give him a big ol hug! How precious!

And Principal Darnell got his "school pictures" today! I had to take a picture of his picture since we don't have a scanner here at home:)

I love Fall! I am looking forward to the Covered Bridge festival in Indiana in a few weeks! My friend Erin and I go with our Moms and it is a good day to shop various vendors and get home decor and just eat a bunch of junk food:) It is just a little day trip and I always take off a Friday to go! Especially since I have a new, much bigger house to shop for!
I love Fall because we attend football games whether it be high school or our loving Fighting Illini. Can't forget about the tailgates! I am looking forward to Halloween this year. We have so many kids on our street now. I already have treat bags, I just have to get the treats to fill them! I have my Mums out, we just have to get our pumpkins.
After being sick for a couple of days, I am feeling much better now! I am relaxing on our new reclining sofa that I love very much! Jeremy has parent night at school tonight so it is just me and my doggies.
I am looking forward to the weekend as we don't have much planned. Tomorrow night we have a banquet to attend but other than that, not many plans. Jeremy is golfing Saturday. Our neighbors who own a chiropractic clinic in town are having an open house at their clinic on Sunday that I hope we will be able to attend.

Since Jeremy had a school board meeting on Monday night which was his birthday, we went to dinner on Tuesday night. Gibson City is well known for Bayern Stube, it is an authentic german restaurant in town. Various famous people including Oprah Winfrey and Tom Hanks(Tom Hanks brother is a professor at the University of IL, so when he comes to visit his brother, they go to Bayern Stube)have been to Bayern Stube. It was really good and we definitely did not feel like we were in Gibson City when we got inside.
Check out the website to see what all they have to offer...

Looking forward to the weekend! Have a great weekend all!

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

September 21st is my wonderful husband's birthday! I want to wish him a very happy birthday! My husband is the best husband ever and he does so much for me. I love him very much! Jeremy has a school board meeting on his birthday so we hope to celebrate by going to dinner one night this week...although this week's schedule is filling up really quickly. I got Jeremy a GCMS windbreaker pullover, a GCMS polo shirt and a couple of frames for his diplomas to hang in his big ol Principal office! He did not have much GCMS apparrel so the gift worked out great! I also spent the evening in the kitchen making him a homemade New York Style Cheesecake! His fav dessert!

The dogs would like to wish their Daddy a happy birthday too! They are both Daddy's girls and love their Daddy a bunch!
Happy Birthday Jeremy! I hope you have a wonderful birthday! I love you very much!

Fun Weekend!

This weekend was a fun filled busy weekend! Friday night we walked across the 18th green and went to the golf course for dinner before heading to the GCMS vs. Leroy Football game. GCMS ended up winning, but the game was a great game to watch! Pretty exciting! Saturday I woke up very early to head to Champaign and Urbana to do an Alzheimer's walk with some co-workers. We collected money to raise for the walk. It was a 5K. Very fun. It was fun to meet up with Amy & Jenn before and go get some coffee!

Our team name was Team OSPRA since we work in the Office of Sponsored Programs & Research Administration.
Then Saturday night we headed to my good friend Mandy's wedding. Mandy works for the UofI Football team and met Ben after she obtained her job in the football office. Mandy and I worked at Beckman Institute together and hit it off really well and ended up going to lunch Mandy's first day at work. After some talking, we found out we were both in the same college program through Greenville College. I am so happy Mandy has found her soul mate and Ben is a super guy! Ben also works for the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics on campus.

One of the table arrangements. Our first wedding reception at the new I-Hotel on Campus!

I loved these big tall arrangements. The same lady that did our wedding flowers did Mandy's!

Ben's Mom made the cake! It was sooooo cool the way she spelled out "Taylor". And the cake was sooooo good. Best I have ever had!

I had to take a picture of the lights at I-Hotel. I love them! I have had meetings there and always love the light fixtures!

Jeremy and I at the wedding reception. This was the dress I got from Francesca's!

The bride and groom! Yay for Mr. and Mrs. Taylor! This is proof that you can plan a beautiful wedding in just a 2 month time frame. No she is not pregnant, she just chose not to drag out her engagement and planned a beautiful wedding within 2 months!

Mandy & Me:)

Tomorrow is Jeremy's b-day! I am going to cook him up a home made New York style cheesecake! He has a school board tomorrow night so I hope to be able to go out to dinner on Tuesday night to celebrate his b-day!
I am attending a baby shower today for my step-cousin and Jeremy is going to watch the Bears vs. Steelers game! He is jealous his parents will be at the game:)

Some Fun New Things At Our House!

Jeremy and I received some more exciting things at our house this week. We got our sod and fence! Yay! So exciting. We have been taking the dogs out every time they have to go out on leashes and it has been a royal pain! We will be glad when we can let them out the back door and they can run free in their nice fenced back yard.

The front of our yard with grass! Jeremy felt like he was taking care of a new baby last night as he got up a few times in the night to move the sprinklers around so the sod gets good and watered! Jeremy also did some landscaping this past weekend. We have to get some more rock to add to it and then I will take pictures of that and add on here as well. He did a really nice job and his Mom and Dad stopped by and helped out as well.

My mums I love! Love Fall! I am starting to decorate for Fall. Can't wait to go to Covered Bridge this year and find some great decor! Notice my sign in the yard I got at Gordman's....The Witch is In! Notice the ugly goose under my mum stand! That would be Jeremy's! He thinks it is ugly too, he is just keeping it there to try and prove a point about the outside being all his to do whatever....minus the mums:) Oh well, it works out great, I have my mum where I want it and his ugly goose can still be where he had it! It is falling apart anyway so it won't be around too much longer.

From a different angle..

Our huge back yard with sod and fence!

This was the sunset over the golf course one night! Jeremy had to take a pic of it!
So far we really love our new neighborhood and new town! We enjoy all our neighbors. We are out almost every night until dark or after talking to our neighbors. The town has everything we need. I am still adjusting to my drive to work. It is about 45 minutes which is a lot longer than what I am used to but I think once I get used to it I will be fine. Once the house across the street is finished and the couple give birth to their 3rd child, we will have 15 kids on our street! We have free entertainment every night:) I can't wait to make up little Halloween goodie bags for all the neighbor kids!
This weekend we look forward to my friend Mandy's wedding. Yay for Mandy & Ben! And don't forget, the Chicago Bears play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday! Big Game in the Darnell household! Monday is Jeremy's b-day, too bad he has to attend a school board meeting on his b-day. We will have to find some time to Celebrate! If he is nice and doesn't act up during the Steelers game, I just might make him a homemade New York Style Cheesecake! Just so everyone knows...my husband turns 35 this year!

I love our house!

I really love our new house! The pictures do not do it justice as to how nice it is. I don't ever want to leave and my decorations have all not been set in place but you get the jist of what it looks like! Sorry it has taken so long! We have been busy and just got our internet hooked up a few days ago!
We are looking forward to attending the first home Fighting Illini football game and tailgate this weekend! And enjoying our new home.
We attended one church last weekend and plan to attend another church this weekend. We are trying to find a church that we feel comfortable with attending.

I hope you enjoy the pics of the house! Feel free to offer any ideas you might have as far as adding decor to our house!
