This and That!

This post is just a bunch of random things around our house this past week!

Tuesday we went to the German Restaurant for Jeremy's birthday dinner! I had a big ol German beer and it was soooooo good!!! I could only drink about half since I am not used to drinking German beer but it was yummy! It was a Raspberry flavor! Besides the beer, our dinner was really yummy! We both had Schnitzel.

Adlee was pooped from daycare so she pretty much slept most of dinner! She was a very good little girl!

Daycare really wears a girl out! We picked her up one day last week and she had her spare onesie on. She pooped all over herself and Vickie....oops!

Friday, before work, we had playtime and we had to snap a few pictures because Adlee was showing her Falcon spirit for Homecoming by wearing her Red, White and Black. We went to the Homecoming game that night for the first half.

Saturday morning we had tummy time and watched Sportscenter! Adlee looooves to watch football and Sportscenter! This is her really focusing on College Game Day!

This was just so cute! She held Jeremy's hand for about 20 minutes! Saturday evening we had dinner with Mike & Erin Siems and Garrett & Tanner!

And of course we had to cheer on the Steelers today on this lazy, football watching Sunday!

I got Adlee dressed today to go to the new little Pumpkin Patch outside of town but we decided to stay in all day today. Adlee is feeling a little under the weather. She did not sleep well last night at all and then today she has had a little bit of a stuffy nose and a low grade fever. We really think she is starting to cut teeth already. She drools constantly and always has her hands in her mouth.

This weekend also involved a few projects. Since I have a little girl in the house now I am all about doing fun little things to make her outfits more adorable. I have been going to Hobby Lobby more often and getting more ideas. I am already planning her first bday party..haha!
Friday on my lunch hour, I ran to Hobby Lobby, while I was there I found this cute little package of flowers. I thought they would be cute if I stitched them to a hat we already had.
So here is the hat!

Here are the cute flowers!

And here is the finished product! I must say it looks adorable on Adlee! She is getting her pictures taken this week and I think this will be included in a picture!

And this weekend, I made my first tutu for Adlee! It was my first one so it may not be the nicest tutu I ever do but it will do the trick!

It's been a good weekend, minus our little girl not feeling well.

Adlee is 3 Months Old!

Adlee, you are 3 Months Old! Mommy & Daddy can't believe it!

You are growing like a weed!
We think you are probably around 12-13 pounds. At your last appointment in August you were 11 lbs 11oz.
You still wear a size 1 diaper. Some diapers are size 1-2.
You can still wear some 0-3 things but not very many. 3 month things fit you great, you can wear some 3-6. Onesies are funny, the Gerber ones you can wear 6-9 and to Mommy they fit you great, even some 12 month fit you great.
You are now eating 5 oz. We started you on the next level of nipples this weekend and also upped your oz. You were just eating 4 but we thought you might need some more.
You have slept through the night a couple of times, but are still getting up once to eat on most nights. We are going to give it until we give you cereal for the first time and if you aren't sleeping through the night then we may try to ween you from your middle of the night feedings.
We are only going to give you 4 oz in the middle of the night feedings.
We have a great night time routine. We start our routine at 7, which includes a bath, we then try to read at least 2 books and then have a bottle before bed.
You are typically in bed by 8. If you get up in the night you typically get up anywhere from 1-3. You fall right back to sleep after eating and during the work week, we have to wake you up around 6:45 or 7 to get you ready for daycare.
You love your bath so much. You are so stinkin cute during your bath and just stare at Mommy the whole time. It relaxes you so much. Mommy & Daddy both do bath time because we love it so much. You like to kick your feet during bathtime to try and get Daddy wet:)
We have been dressing you for night night in a sleeper and your sleep sack.
You have been sleeping in your crib for a few weeks and you love it and do great.
You often times turn in circles in your crib during your sleep. Where your head started, your feet may end up.
You are such a joy when you wake up in the mornings with the absolute most precious grin! Mommy & Daddy can't wait to get you up in the mornings.
You started daycare on September 10th. You had a trial run day the day before. You love love love Vickie and your daycare. You love all the kids and watching them. You have even fallen asleep on your own on the floor at daycare because the kids wear you out. You love to "talk" to all the kids at daycare.
Mommy only called 2 days to check on you because Vickie does such a great job and Mommy feels very comfortable with you being there.
You love to play on the floor with your toys. You love your play mat still and Grandma Cathy bought you a new toy which is the Little Tykes 5 in 1 adjustable toy and you love it, you are able to kick it and make the music go off. You also love your other toys such as rattles, your stuffed hippo, and many more..
You are scooting when we put you on the floor. You are definitely on a mission to go someplace.
We just put you in your Bumbo seat for the first time this weekend.
You are so happy. All the time! You just "talk" to Mommy & Daddy and tell us about your days and smile all the time.
You still go in your swing sometimes for naps and you still like it. You also love sitting in your little bouncy seat.
You have the cutest little toothless grin.
You love to have your hands in your mouth.
You like to sometimes go to your side like you might want to roll over....or at least attempt to.
You don't take a paci all the time but will take one sometimes for Mom & Dad.
You have a Strawberry Hemangioma birth mark on your right arm & hand. It is supposed to fade and most likely will go away in a couple of years.
Mommy and Daddy love you so so much Adlee! You are definitely the highlight of our lives!
Mommy and Daddy can tell that you love us very much too!

A few more pics from the weekend!

Adlee's First Day of Daycare!

The day I have dreaded has come along! Today, Adlee started daycare. I start work tomorrow and we took her to daycare today for a trial run and in case I wanted to go get her in an hour I could. I did really well. I did better than I thought I would. I cried of course and had several melt downs the last week. I kept myself busy today. I had several errands to run to prepare for going back to work. I also wanted to tidy up the house so I feel like I have a clean house when going back to work. We took Adlee to daycare at 7:30 this morning. This is the time she will be dropped off most mornings. Jeremy went with me which was nice. I only called once about 10:30 and I picked her up at 3:30. I felt a little relieved when we got to daycare and Vickie, the babysitter, took her and Adlee fell asleep in her arms.
This morning Adlee woke up at 6 ready to go. She has been sleeping until about 7 or 7:30 so I thought we would have to wake her up. She must have known it was her first day as she was up early ready to go.
We got her dressed all cute for her first day!

She wore her "Brand New" shirt since she was the new kid on the block today at daycare. (Excuse Lucie licking her hand)

Of course she had to get a pick with Mommy and Daddy!

Daddy got her all buckled in her seat!

This is Vickie, Adlee's babysitter.

This is what I found when I went to pick her up!!! She looked like she had a rough day!! haha! I told Vickie I wanted to make sure she got floor time in the morning and afternoon. Well Vickie said she fell asleep on the floor and she has never done that!!! I thought it was funny she had one sock on and one sock off and her bib was to one side!!

She had a great day and enjoyed being around the other kids, but she was happy to see her Mommy come pick her up!

We came home and played and she was really tired. She fell asleep in my arms. I had to wake her up to give her a bath and give her her night time bottle. I am hoping she sleeps through the night. She was a little clingy and a little fussy this evening. One, I think she was tired and two I think she missed her Mommy today. She is used to being with me all the time.

Vickie said she did great. She watched the other kids and I think their busyness wore her out! I am excited to have her in daycare as I think it will be good for her to interact with the other kids and eventually learn to share and be around other kids.
I hope she continues to have good days at daycare.
I hope tomorrow is easy on me!!! Today I knew I could go pick her up whenever I wanted. Now it is back to reality since that money tree never sprouted in our back yard!!!
Have a great weekend!

Labor Day Weekend in Review

We had a wonderful long weekend! The weather was beautiful and it made the weekend so much better!
The weekend started on Friday, when Daddy got home from work. Him and Adlee had quite the little conversation.

We then headed to the GCMS Falcons first home football game! Adlee lasted about a whole quarter and was ready to go home. Plus it was really windy and we did not want her to get an earache.

The game wore Adlee out so much that she fell asleep in the Bjorn on the walk back home.

Saturday we got ready for a day of great fun. We got dressed all cute for the day!

Grandma Cathy came and brought Adlee a new toy! She loves it!!!

We then loaded up in Grandma Cathy's fancy new ride and headed to Peoria. We met up with more of Adlee's Grandparents, Grandma Jan and Grandpa John, ate lunch, did a little shopping and went to Pekin to Grandma Jan and Grandpa John's house. Adlee had not been there yet so she was super excited to go there. She got another toy from Grandma Jan that she really likes. Grandma Jan also made her a pillowcase dress which we forgot but we will get it this weekend. Adlee was super excited to go shopping with 2 Grandma's because she got sooooo much stuff!!! Bargains of course.

We hung out in our PJ's and hung out with the doggie doo's! Lucie turned her head while I took the picture so that is why her face is blurry:)

Mommy was craving El Toro so we headed to Urbana and had dinner at El Toro Sunday evening. From the looks on Adlee's face, it appears that El Toro was a huge hit!! She can't wait to eat some chips and salsa herself because she thought it sure did look good!
Adlee was incredibly precious all weekend! She is always precious but I think I just did not want to leave her side as I know I will be going back to work later this week and I am having a really hard time thinking about going back and having to take her to daycare. I know it will be great for her to be around the other kids but this is the hardest thing I have had to do yet!

And lastly, the highlight of our weekend was Adlee sleeping in her crib for the first time and sleeping through the night!!!! Let's hope it continues on. She slept from about 8:30 til 5, woke up at 5 to eat and went back to bed until 7:30. Jeremy and I both woke up at 5 and looked at each other, did you feed her? No, did you? Oh my goodness she slept through the night!!!!

It was a great great weekend! This week I am going to try and enjoy every single minute with my girl. Her and I have gotten so close during my maternity leave. She is my little BFF. Wednesday we have plans to go visit my Grandma. We also have to stop at the store and get supplies for Daycare. Thursday is Adlee's first day at daycare. I go back to work on Friday, but I am taking her Thursday so it is a little easier transition. Also, if I decide to go get her in an hour I can do that:) I am going to try and run last minute errands before returning to work so I am going to keep myself rather busy! I just have to keep telling myseld that I can do this and I can get through this difficult time!!!!
Have a great week!
