I am just now getting around to posting about our family vacation which was almost 2 weeks ago. We ventured 3 hours to St. Joseph, Michigan to the beach! It was a wonderful vacation. We rented a cute little house for a week. The house was within walking distance to the beach and had everything we needed. We went to the grocery store and bought groceries for breakfast and lunch and ate dinner out every night. It's not a vacation if you can't enjoy meals out. We also hit up a few ice cream parlors in the cute little town we stayed in. St. Joseph is right on Lake Michigan. It was very family friendly and most people there were on vacation. Going in to restaurants in your cover ups and swim suits was no big deal.
We went to the beach about every other day. We did not want to expose Adlee to too much sun so we tried to alternate what we did. On one of our off days we walked downtown to visit all the cute little shops, we took Adlee to the Children's museum and to Splash Park. We also took her to ride the Carousel for the first time. On another off day we drove about 30 minutes to an outlet mall.
We had a wonderful time and will go back especially since it is so close to home...only a 3 hour drive so we did not have to stop.
