Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad's Birthday. This post is to wish him a very happy birthday. My Dad is working on his birthday so I am going to go and try to hunt him down on Campus to give him his present. I got him a few things for his "Man Cave". He has a shed in his back yard he likes to hang out in. So Happy Birthday Dad! I love you very much!

I will be posting hopefully tomorrow when we return from St. Louis for Kelly's Korner blog. It is Show Us Your Life and the theme for this week is Wedding Party/Flowers/Ceremony.

It's the Weekend!

Not really, but it is my weekend! Woo hoo! Tomorrow is Jeremy's last full day off for a while, so I took the day off so we could hang out and do something fun. We are heading to St. Louis tomorrow and staying the night and attending a Cardinals game. Jeremy has not been to a game yet in the new stadium so we are looking forward to it. I am also looking forward to hitting the Galleria Mall which I love and hopefully hitting the Cheesecake Factory. I am also excited as I found out Galleria has a store I have been wanting to go to! I was planning on hitting this store in Chicago but since I found out it is at Galleria, I will be going there. Stay tuned for pictures from the weekend!
They have finished the hardwood at our new house and will be finishing up on the ceramic tile hopefully tomorrow.
This week is our County Fair, which I have not been to in years. Well we went last night and had dinner at the fair. It was fun. Good ol corndog, vinegar fries and a Lemon Shake-Up!
Have a great weekend!

Had a great Anniversary!

Our 2nd anniversary was a great time! We had dinner at Minecci's, a little local Italian Restaurant. It was soooooo good! I had never been there and I am ready to go back already. Then we went to see The Hangover! Ok, hilarious!!!! Has some parts of the movie that are a little questionable but soooo funny! A guy in front of us had his young son with him and I am sure he was wishing he hadn't brought him. After the movie, we went to Cakes on Walnut. It is a cute little cupcake place downtown Champaign in the middle of a bunch of bars and restaurants. You can sit outside and you can also order drinks there! We had an awesome angel food cake cupcake with some crazy good icing! Could eat that again right now too:) We received many well wishes for our anniversary and cards in the mail!
So this week sometime, marks our little Lucie's Birthday! She will be 2 years old and sometimes I really think she is going through her terrible 2's. We know she was born sometime during our honeymoon, we just aren't sure what exact day. Let me just tell you that yes, she is a little spit fire that likes to cause trouble, but I love this little doggie more than anything. I am so glad we got her and she is just so precious and loves to cuddle. As a matter of fact, as I am typing this, she is laying right next to me on the couch:) She is very spoiled. Don't get me wrong I love our Deeder Dee too but since it is Lu Lu's b-day week, I thought I would post about her.
We got Lucie when she was 4 weeks old. She was sooo tiny. When we went to look at her, she was the only girl, which we have a girl already and knew we wanted another one. Then I picked her up and she snuggled up under my chin and licked my chin....that sold me! And she was free! They were ooops puppies but ended up being awesome hunting dogs and great companions!
So enjoy some pics of my precious baby girl! She is the only baby I have right now, so that means she gets overly spoiled.

Lucie as an itty bitty!

This was right after we got her!

As a pup almost all white, now she is almost all black!

Hunting with her Daddy and her sister Dee! Jeremy is proud of the way she hunts!

And Lu Lu now! She is still petite, but she is a girl and burns a bunch of energy!

Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary To Us!

Edit, Friday, July 24th.....Show us your Wedding Dress from Kelly's Korner Blog. I just so happened to post pictures from our wedding day on our anniversary Tuesday....so below is the post I did Tuesday. There is also a link on the side of my blog under my favorite websites where you can go see all of our wedding pics! Enjoy!

Today marks our 2nd Wedding Anniversary! The weather this past weekend was just like it was the weekend of our wedding! Beautiful weather and great temperatures for a July wedding.
Our weekend started off with our rehearsal dinner at our house with the view of the pond. The following day was the quickest day of my life! All the planning and it was over in an instant. I could go back and do our wedding day over and over again it was sooooo much fun! Then on Sunday, very early in the morning, we left for our honeymoon in Riviera Maya Mexico.
I am very fortunate to have found Jeremy and feel blessed every day. I could not ask for a better husband and am looking forward to extending our family. I know Jeremy will be a great Dad! He has provided me with everything I could ever ask for.
Thanks Jeremy, I love you very much! The past two years have been the best!
Tonight we plan to go to dinner at Minecci's and if we can stay awake long enough (hee hee) go see The Hangover, we have heard it was hilarious. We decided not to spend a lot on each other for our anniversary since we will be purchasing a brand new house soon enough.
In addition to it being our anniversary, it is my Aunt Sherrie's Birthday! Would like to wish her a very Happy Birthday!
And if you could all please pray for our good friends Chris and Kelly Welch, their 3 year old son was involved in an accident involving a tractor this past weekend. We pray that Alec heals soon. He is going to be fine but a tough time for them as he has had to undergo a couple of surgeries.
Enjoy pics from our beautiful wedding!

Such a Fun Weekend!

This weekend was such a fun weekend! I took off early Friday. I finished up cleaning the house (with the help of my wonderful husband) for the Open House we had today. When we got done we packed up the dogs and our clothes and headed to Pekin for the weekend. We visited my in-laws who were keeping our niece and nephew, Maggie & Hank, for the weekend. We also had a baby shower to attend in Pekin for our good friends Sean & Tiffany. They are expecting their first child in September. Sean went to high school with Jeremy in Pekin and they have been great friends ever since. Sean & Tiff live in Kalamazoo Michigan but Sean's parents still live in Pekin and hosted a wonderful baby shower for the parents to be.
Friday night we got to town and had dinner with The Darnell's and Maggie & Hank. I found out Friday that my cousin Hannah was playing softball in Peoria. Such a small world, we are an hour and a half away from home and attend the game to watch Hannah and they are playing Urbana, a lot of the Urbana kids Jeremy knew from working in the Urbana School District. We took our niece Maggie to the game with us and she has a ball.
Saturday morning I got up and picked Tiff up and her and I and our doggie Lucie and their doggie Gunner went for a nice long walk. We attended Sean & Tiff's baby shower later in the day, only after the guys all went golfing in the morning. We also took the kids to the park to play for a while. We met up with another good friend of Jeremy's, Jim, at the Pekin Boat Club.
Today, Jeremy golfed in an outting with Jim (which they won), while John, Jan, Maggie, Hank and I went to the zoo in Peoria. It was such fun. We ate lunch at the zoo and John took the kids back home so Jan and I could hit a few stores for some retail therapy:)
We and the dogs are pooped and are glad to be home but always enjoy visiting family & friends and getting away for the weekend.
We had an Open House today and we are looking forward to hearing how it went from our realtor. In the perfect world, our house would sell in the next couple of weeks so the closing would be scheduled for around the same time as our new house closing.
This week brings an exciting week for me and Jerm. We will be celebrating our 2nd Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday! Our plans are to go to dinner to Minecci's and go see The Hangover!
Enjoy some pics from our fun weekend!

All Things New!

Today, we took a trip to our soon to be new home town to meet with the closet shelf guy to pick out how we want our closet shelving organized. Another thing to check off the list! Still very exciting. We hit a restaurant in town and tried it out. It is nothing fancy by any means but definitely a good place to be able to go with a large menu and they serve breakfast all day. We got to talk to 3 of our soon to be neighbors and it is so exciting because everyone is young and close to our age. We are the only couple without kids yet though. So our street will be a busy one. But looking forward to the new friendships and acquaintances the new town will bring.

My new aviator shades I got for $1.99 at NY & Co. Jeremy calls me Maverick from Top Gun.
"Negative ghostrider, the pattern is full" Whatev! I like them and they match my shirt! I normally don't like to take pictures of myself but I had to so everyone could see what my husband is making fun of me about!

Address block in the brick...pretty exciting!

The brick on our house. We are pretty excited it turned out so nice and we love the colors. It will look great with the siding and black shutters and black front door.

The siding is getting close to being finished.

The view of our house from the school Jeremy will be Principal.

The Principal's Office!!! Still needs some decorating but is shaping up!

On Thursday, Jeremy was asked to fill in for the retired Principal in a golf outting in Gibson City. He clearly was the youngest on the foursome. He had a blast. The Golf Outting was for the Gibson Area Hospital Foundation. He golfed with the Superintendent of Gibson City Schools and two other men that he had just met that day and I am proud to say they came in 1St place in the morning flight, there were approximately 51 teams in the tournament total.

Jeremy got this nice trophy!

The picture of Jeremy's team!
Please continue to pray for Jeremy's Grandma. She has had a rough week since her trach surgery. We plan to leave early in the morning to go visit her in Springfield at the hospital.
On this house front, we had a showing yesterday! We have not heard yet how it went, but we hope something comes about soon! Our neighborhood had a garage sale today and our neighbor told us that about 5 couples walked around our house checking it out. Wouldn't that be funny if it sold due to the result of a garage sale! I don't really care how it sells, just as long as it sells.
Thank goodness it is the weekend! Have a great weekend all!
